Meet PA Caitlin Luke
The personal impact of someone you care deeply about can motivate a career path. That was the journey for Caitlin Luke who ultimately chose to become a Physician Assistant. When a close family member experienced a life-altering rheumatologic disease and was in critical condition and desperately needed access to certain healthcare providers within a timely manner. That experience was impactful to Caitlin. The medical industry overall has or is experiencing a shortage of a variety of providers and that hasn’t exempted Mesa County.
Caitlin said she felt called to serve the Western Slope in the capacity of a Physician Assistant in an effort to provide care to her community. It’s also important to her that patients know she has a passion for improving quality of life and encouraging healthy habits. One of her personal goals is to encourage and support her patients in their health journey.
Caitlin studied at Colorado Mesa University and obtained her Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science there. She went on to obtain her Masters of Physician Assistant Studies from the Bechtel Physician Assistant Program, also at CMU. As a new member of the FHW Primary Care team, she considers whole-family care a specialty - from pediatric patients to adult medicine.
Personal Interests
Like most Western Colorado natives, she shares a passion for the outdoors, especially playing golf and volleyball. Joining her family in watching an Avalanche hockey game rates pretty high, as well. When she isn’t being active she also enjoys reading a good book and traveling.
