Meet Fortunato G. Padua, MD, MS
Dr. Padua is an orthopedic surgeon specializing in shoulder surgery and sports medicine, with expertise in treating a broad range of orthopedic conditions affecting the shoulder, elbow, hip, and knee. His practice includes complex arthroscopic procedures, sports-related injuries, joint reconstruction, arthritis care, and joint replacement surgery. He has a particular focus on complex shoulder conditions, including shoulder instability, rotator cuff pathology, labral injuries, arthritis, nerve compression, fractures, and complex revision conditions. He also cares for patients with hip and knee arthritis and other conditions that may require joint arthroplasty. His patients range from competitive athletes to active adults, and his goal is to help every patient return safely and confidently to sport, work, and daily life through individualized, evidence-based care.
Dr. Padua’s motivation as a surgeon comes from a deep passion for sports and movement. He is driven by the opportunity to restore function and get patients back to the activities that matter most to them, whether that is competing at a high level, working a physically demanding job, or simply enjoying time with family and friends. Above all, he strives to care for patients of all backgrounds and activity levels with the same level of commitment and attention to detail, providing a standard of care that he would want for his own family. Outside of work, Dr. Padua enjoys weight training, trail running, hiking, golf, snowboarding, pickleball, and tennis.
