Kate PierceAll Family Practice Physicians

Dr. Pierce, aka Dr. Kate, grew up in the South, riding horses, tending cows, bucking hay, and experiencing the magic of summer evenings sparkling with fireflies.  After high school, she attended Florida State University - and started mountain biking - where there are no mountains, just sinkholes.  She met her husband at FSU, and her honeymoon was a tour of the western National Parks.  After seeing the western United States, she had to stay - attending Oregon Health Sciences University and completing her Family Practice residency here in Grand Junction in 2003. 
Practicing family medicine means every day is different for Dr. Kate, as no two patients have the same life experience. She delivered babies for 10 years until changing her focus to general family medicine and enjoys helping treat joint pain with injections as well as minimizing skin cancer progression with lesion removals. She is also passionate about end-of-life care, weight loss programs, and has a budding interest in aesthetics to maintain excellent skin health.
She has been happy to call the Grand Valley home for the past 25 years, has 3 almost grown kiddos, and continues to enjoy tending house plants and orchids, in between her many outdoor adventures.
