Meet Ryan Payne, DPM
He describes himself as having always enjoyed science and being fascinated by anatomy and
physiology. He knew his career passion was to help people and being a physician was going to
be the best opportunity to help others and utilize science, knowledge, and research. It was the
ultimate trifecta!
Dr. Payne says, it is very motivating and satisfying to see somebody overcome injury or illness
and get back to a level of activity that they desire. I choose to practice in podiatry to help others
to restore or maintain the level of activity they would like through both conservative and surgical
options.
He describes his relationship with patients as one filled with honesty and openness about
diagnoses, prognosis, and all available options. Dr. Payne says he strives to fully educate
patients on their condition and what options they have available and patiently work with them to
pursue the best option in their individual case. Treating patients is his passion!
He’s been crisscrossing the country between school and residency taking him from Utah to Iowa
to Maine, then Montana and finally finding his place with the Family Health West team in the
FHW Foot and Ankle Clinic.
Personal Interests
Dr. Payne gushes about his family - his wife and their 4 kids. While keeping up with our kiddos
demands much of our time he says, he does enjoy being outdoors. Running, to include
participating in and completing a marathon and half marathon, as well as, enjoying racquet
sports like pickleball, tennis, and racquetball. So if you see him hitting some balls or running
down the road, be sure to say hello!
