Sam McCluskey DNP-ACNPUrgent Care

Being passionate about learning something new every day has kept the spark in her work as a nurse practitioner for more than 30 years. Meet Sam McCluskey DNP-ACNP, who is part of the FHW Urgent Care. She’s been around the block a few times, including mentoring FHW’s leader, Dr. Korrey Klein when he was in residency and being one of the first practicing nurse practitioners in the Grand Valley.

Sam is fueled by the desire to improve patient's quality of life and learn from them and with them. Building quality relationships with her patients is important to Sam.

She received her Doctorate of Nursing in 2015 from the University of Massachusetts.

Personal Interests
Sam and her firefighting husband have a cottage in Washington state where they like to escape the stresses of the world and recharge at their very own retreat. Their world hideaway is near Hood Canal in Port Ludlow, Washington, where they enjoy whale watching.

In addition to caring for people, Sam is an animal lover and has six rescue dogs. She has four chihuahuas, a silver lab, and an English bulldog. Plus, she has cows too!
