Meet Stacy Shomo, FNP
The majority of Stacy’s professional career was spent as an emergency room nurse. In fact, 20 of her 25 years in nursing were at the bedside of patients in crisis. But for the past five years, she has been a nurse practitioner. The core of becoming an NP was her belief in health as a human right. She enjoys connecting with patients of all ages and cultures while helping them to maintain and/or regain their optimum health so they may enjoy life to the fullest.
Stacy received her Master of Science degree from the College of Nursing at the University of South Alabama. Her strong desire to have a global impact on human rights drew her to the Master of Arts degree with an emphasis on International Human Rights and a Graduate Certificate in Global Health Affairs from the Josef Korbel School of International Studies at the University of Denver. After traveling to take her whole health healing approach around the globe, Stacy has recently joined the FHW Primary Care team and will be working at the FHW Urgent Care clinic, as well.
Personal Interests
Stacy really enjoys traveling, hiking, paddle boarding, mountain biking, reading, completing escape rooms, and spending time with family and friends. Ask her about the most recent book she finished reading or the latest hike she’s enjoyed.
Stacy is proud to be part of the Family Health West Primary Care team and looks forward to meeting you!
